Ashley Nunez is originally from Kansas City, Missouri. She trained in ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, and musical theatre at the Pulse Performing Arts Center for 10 years. At the Pulse, she trained under Curtis Smith, Lauren Winstead, and Victoria Norman. She is currently a senior at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance with an equal emphasis in ballet and modern dance. At UMKC, Ashley has performed in works by Gary Abbott, Christina Burton, Caroline Dahm, DeeAnna Hiett, and Ronald Tice. She has collaborated with renowned guest artists Christian Denice and Christopher Huggins. Ashley has worked with The Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey under Tyrone Aiken, and she has recently been training with Quixotic. Ashley has a passion for dancing and choreography, and hopes to share her love of dance with the Kansas City community.
